Companionship Videos

Companionship videos are simply long videos (4 to 10 hours) taken of the parrots in a special display cage as they go about their day. Watch them go through several distinct play, eat, sleep cycles and interact with each other. This video was made for those who....

1. Will be taking one of these babies home with them. Playing this video for them, even just the sound, can help greatly in the settling in process. The sights and sounds of the nurser, their siblings, with the fans in the background and all the other parrots in the room, helps them feel secure.

2. Those with one or more birds at home already. They are all flock birds, and form very strong bonds with their mates, not liking to be alone. A companionship video can help with feelings of loneliness and boredom, especially when their people are away at work during the day. Seeing other birds at play, rest and feeding helps them feel more as a part of a flock.

3. People who would like parrots, but don't have any of their own yet for whatever reasons. Watch and learn their behaviors, and how playful and entertaining they can be. Or just enjoy these wonderful creatures as they live out a part of their day.

Birdie Ambient, gotta love it, I play it at night if I can’t sleep.

I have just started making these videos, but will be making one for each batch of babies that go through handfeeding, to help them settle in. I really only have been making videos of any kind for a little while, in an effort to help spread awareness. Still getting used to the new tech. When I first began, I was putting up print ads in the morning newspaper!
